The Pillo app is an extension of the Pillo robot experience, designed with empathy, trust, and comfort as its key components. The user interface is designed to provide a valuable user experience, focusing on the medication and supplement regimen support rather than interaction with the interface. The clear navigation and originally designed elements create an intuitive and seamless user experience.

415Agency's design process was rooted in comprehensive research and analysis of user experience in the healthcare field. The app was designed to be user-centric, aiming to create a humanized product that establishes a valuable connection with users, making them feel more positive, engaged, and cared for. The design team took a minimalistic approach, focusing on clear and approachable design, avoiding overstuffing the app with features.

The Pillo app manages supplement and medication schedules, sends and receives notifications, and curates personalized healthcare information on the go. Users can easily use a comprehensive medication catalog, setting up personal schedules. Based on the medication regimen history, users can also produce reports for a certain period of time and send them to their doctors and caregivers. The app also allows setting a Pillo companion, a person who is notified every time the user forgets to take a medicine.

The project started in San Francisco, CA in January 2016 and finished in May 2016. The Pillo app is currently in the final stages of Beta testing and is planned for release at the end of 2016. The robot will be shipping worldwide starting from July 2017. The app was designed in Adobe Photoshop, with all animated elements built in Adobe After Effects. The wireframes were created using an online platform draw.io. The app is designed for iOS & Android platforms.

The Pillo app design was awarded the Golden A' Mobile Technologies, Applications and Software Design Award in 2017.
